RESOLUTION NO. 07-05
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF WESTLAKE ACADEMY
AUTHORIZING AN EXPANSION AMENDMENT TO THE WESTLAKE ACADEMY
CHARTER TO CHANGE THE GEOGRAPHIC BOUNDARIES FOR TRANSFER
STUDENTS:
WHEREAS, the Westlake Academy Board of Trustees desires to amend the Westlake
Academy Charter, pages 54155, (a) to allow transfer students from Birdville ISD, Grapevine-
Colleyville ISD and Lewisville ISD, in addition to Carroll ISD, Keller ISD and Northwest ISD
as currently specified in the Charter, and (b) to eliminate Argyle ISD and Denton ISD as transfer
areas; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees finds that the passage of this Resolution is in the best
interest of the Academy;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
WESTLAKE ACADEMY:
SECTION 1. That the Board of Trustees of Westlake Academy hereby adopts the
Expansion Amendment attached hereto to change the Geographic Boundaries for Transfer
Students.
SECTION 2. That this Resolution shall become effective upon the date of its passage
but contingent upon approval by the Texas Education Agency.
