RESOLUTION NO. 08-01
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF WESTLAKE ACADEMY TO
ESTABLISH A HEAD OF SCHOOL SEARCH COMMITTEE AND APPOINTING
MEMBERS AND ALTERNATES THERETO.
WHEREAS, the Trustees desires to establish a committee to recruit, interview and
recommend candidates to succeed Barbara Brizuela as the Head of School; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees finds that the passage of this Resolution is in the best
interest of the Academy,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
WESTLAKE ACADEMY;
SECTION 1. That the Board of Trustees of Westlake Academy hereby approves the
formation the Head of School search committee.
SECTION 2. That the Search Committee shall be composed of the following persons:
• Current Head of School (Barbara Brizuela)
• Interim Town Manager(Joe Hennig)
• Head of PYP (Jamie Schmitz)
• Head of Secondary (David Jenkins)
• One Alderman (Bob Timmerman)
• One Westlake Academy parent (Jack Risenhoover)
• 2 Alternates — Board Member (Don Redding) and PYP Coordinator
(Claudia Ourthe-Cabale)
SECTION 3. That this Resolution shall become effective upon the date of its passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED ON THIS 14t" DAY OF JANUARY, 2008.
