RESOLUTION NO. 08-04
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF WESTLAKE ACADEMY
AUTHORIZING AN EXPANSION AMENDMENT TO THE WESTLAKE ACADEMY
CHARTER TO INCREASE THE GEOGRAPHIC BOUNDARY FOR TRANSFER
STUDENTS.
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees desires to expand the geographic area from which it
will accept student transfers; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees finds that the passage of this Resolution is in the best
interest of the Academy.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
WESTLAKE ACADEMY:
SECTION 1. That the Board of Trustees of Westlake Academy hereby adopts the
Application for Charter Amendment attached hereto, Article VII, Section A Geographic
Boundaries, Paragraph 2, to add the following school-districts from which transfer students will
be accepted: HEB, Decatur. Paradise, Boyd, Weatherford, Krum, Ponder. Denton, Little Elm,
Argyle, Frisco, Carrollton, Grand Prairie, Duncanville, Lake Dallas, Springtown, Azle, Coppell,
Irving, Arlington, Fort Worth, Eagle Mduntain-Saginaw, Highland Park. Garland, McKinney.
SECTION 2. That this Resolution shall become effective upon the date of its passage
but contingent upon approval by the TEA.
PASSED AND APPROVED ON THIS 14`" DAY OF JANUARY, 2008.
