RESOLUTION NO. 08-02
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF WESTLAKE ACADEMY
AUTHORIZING THE FORMATION OF A CAMPUS LEADERSHIP TEAM AS
STATED IN WESTLAKE ACADEMY'S CHARTER
WHEREAS, in accordance with Chapter XIII, section E of the charter, Westlake
Academy has afforded parents and students the opportunity to be active members in the decision
making process by establishing the House of Commons and the Student Council; and
WHEREAS, The Board. of Trustees of Westlake Academy also desires to form a
leadership team as provided in Chapter XIII, Section E of its charter; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees finds that the passage of this Resolution is in the best
interest of the Academy;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
WESTLAKE ACADEMY:
SECTION 1. That the Board of Trustees of Westlake Academy hereby approves the
formation of a campus leadership team, to consist of three faculty representatives, three parent
representatives, three student representatives, two community leaders, the Head of School and
the President of the Board of Trustees.
SECTION 2. That this Resolution shall become effective upon the date of its passage
but contingent upon approval by the TEA.
PASSED AND APPROVED ON THIS 14`x' DAY OF JANUARY, 2008.
