RESOLUTION NO. 1144
A RESOLUTION OF THE WESTLAKE ACADEMY BOARD OF TRUSTEES
AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER THE ABILITY TO REJECT ALL BIDS FOR
THE TEMPORARY CLASSROOM BUILDINGS.
WHEREAS, the three temporary classroom building were scheduled for renovation in the
summer of 2011 due to the Academy expansion in student population; and
WHEREAS,the PYP art, music and new class offerings was scheduled to move in a 28 X
64 portable trailer located on the Westside side of the Arts and Sciences Center; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees of Westlake Academy, have determined it
to be in the best interest of all parties to reject all bids due to lack of bids submitted for the
temporary classroom buildings; and
WHEREAS, the temporary classroom buildings bid package notification will go out on
February 26`x' and 271x'.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS:
SECTION 1: The above findings are hereby found to be true and correct and are
incorporated herein in their entirety.
SECTION 2: The Board of Trustees of Westlake Academy, hereby authorize the
Superintendent to reject all bids received for the temporary classroom buildings.
SECTION 3: If any portion of this resolution shall, for any reason, be declared invalid by
any court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the remaining provisions
hereof and the Trustees hereby determines that it would have adopted this Resolution without the
invalid provision.

SECTION 4: That this resolution shall become effective from and after its date of
passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF WESTLAKE
ACADEMY,A CHARTER SCHOOL OF THE STATE OF TEXAS, ON THE 10" DAY OF
JANUARY, 2011.
