AN ORDINANCE DETACHING A CERTAIN AREA FROM THE
TOWN OF WESTLAKEJ TEXAS, AND PROVIDING FOR
AMENDING AND CORRECTING THE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES
OF SAID TOWN AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED,, AS AMENDED,
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, a certain tract of land out of the R. Eads Survey,
A-393, situated in Denton County, Texas, consisting of two tenths
of an acre, more or less, described on the official map of the
Town of Westlake, Texas, as being a part of a county road right-
of-way more fully described by metes and bounds, to -wit:
BEGINNING at a point in the north line of a county
road leaving the town of Roanoke, Texas, said point
being at the southwest corner of a 5.5 acre cemetery
tract and also a point in present corporate limits of
the Town of Westlake, Texas;
THENCE east and with the north line of said county road
and the south line of said cemetery tract a distance
of 200 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE south and crossing said county road to a point
in its south line;

THENCE west with south line of said county road a
distance of 200 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE north and crossing said south road to the point
of beginning and covering a tract of land containing
approximately two tenths (2/10) of an acre.
It is the intent of the above description to cover a
part of the county road right-of-way running along the
south side of the cemetery tract. Said right-of-way
is 40 feet, more or less., in width by 200 feet in
length.
was through error included within the boundaries of said Town,
at the time of its incorporation on December 27, 1956; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen, acting in its official
capacity, and for the best Interest and general welfare of the
Town and its inhabitants find that such area should be detached
from the Corporate Limits of the Town.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE :BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF
TIE TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS:

THAT, the tract of land above described be and it is hereby
detached from the Corporate Limits of the Town of Westlake, Texas,
and that such territory be and hereby is no longer a part of the
Town of Westlake, and the inhabitants thereof shall not be entitled
to the rights and privileges of other citizens residing in the
remaining territory comprising the Town of Westlake, Texas,
following such detachment as herein provided.

TH THAT, the o icial ria,) and boundaries of the Town of Westlake,
Teras, as heretofore adopted and amended, be and it is hereby
amended so as to detach the aforementioned tract of land as a
part of the Town of Westlake, Texas.

.. THIS, ordinance shall become effective and be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor
and duly attested by the Town Secretary.
