AN ORDINANCE APPROVING CHANGE OF DATE OF PUBLIC MEETING WITH
RESPECT TO TERRITORY ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE TOWN OF
WESTLAKE, TEXAS, FROM JULY 16, 1973, TO JULY 23, 1973.
By ordinance dated July 2, 1973, the Board of Aldermen
of the Town of Westlake, Texas, scheduled a public meeting for
Monday, July 16, 1973, at 7:00 p.m. at the Circle T Ranch in
Westlake, Texas, to consider the annexation of the following -
described land which is contained within the extraterritorial
jurisdiction of the Town of Westlake, Texas, and which land is
adjacent and contiguous to the Town of Westlake, Texas:
In Denton County, Texas, beginning at a point in the West boundary
line of the R. Allen Survey A-17, at which the present boundary
of the Town of Westlake intersects, said point being approximately
525 feet due North of the point at which the West boundary line of
the R. Allen Survey intersects the North line of the Marshall Creek
Road;
THENCE with the boundary line of the Town of Westlake N 87°33'30" E,

TRACT 1: A tract of land in the M. Medlin Survey, Abstract 832,
in approximately the form of a square the North boundary line of
which is contiguous to the following -described call in the above
description: S 88°01' E, approximately 533.8 feet to the East
boundary line of a public road, and the East boundary line of which
is contiguous with the West boundary line of such public road which
tract will be reserved in a Deed from Larry W. Carr, et ux, to
Johnson-Loggins, Inc., and which tract contains approximately
8-1/2 acres and the metes and bounds of which will be more definitely
ascertained by survey.
TRACT 2: Beginning at the intersection of the North boundary
line of the Medlin Road and the East boundary line of a public
road running along the West boundary line of that certain one

Subsequently prior to July 8, 1973, at the request
of the Mayor of Westlake, Howard Dudley, the Board of Aldermen
approved the changing of the date of such public meeting to
July 23, 1973, at 7:00 p.m. at the Circle T Ranch in Westlake.
On July 8, 1973, notice of this public meeting, as so modified
was published in the Denton County Record Chronicle, a newspaper
of general circulation in Westlake, Texas.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Aldermen of the Town of
Westlake, Texas:
That the action of the Board of Aldermen prior to July 8,
1973, changing the date of public meeting to consider the annexation
of the above-described land, from July 16, 1973, to July 23, 1973,
be in all things, ratified and confirmed as of July 8, 1973.
ADOPTED this 23d day of July, 1973.
