AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 20, ADOPTED
FEBRUARY 13, 1960, RECEIVING AND ANIIEXING TERRITORY ADJACENT
AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE701,7N OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS, AND PROVIDING
FOR AMENDING AND C011,31tECTING THE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES OF SAID

196.01 'THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF ORWINANCE NO. 20.
WHEREAS, on February 1.3, 1960; the Board of Aldermen
of the Town of Westlake adopted Ordinance No. 20 annexing to
said Town of 11,lestlake certain territory described in said
ordinance; and,
WHEREAS, there was inadvertently included in said ordi-
nance a portion of a county road, which said portion of the
county road is now part of the Town of Flower Mound, Texas; and,
WHEREAS, in order to correct the field notes of said
Oruinance ;;a. 20 so as to not include the portion bf said c; unty
road now a part of the Town of Flower Mound, Texas, this ordi-
nance is adopted by the -Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake;
a nd,
WHEREAS, this ordinance is adopted for the purpose of
disclaiming and waiving any interest which the Town of Vie stlake
may have in the territory described in Ordinance No. 20, adopted
on February 13, 1960, and which is presently within the limits
of the Town of Flower Mound, Texas; now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOA1 D OF ALDERMEN OF THE TOWN OF
WESTLM, 'TEXAS: _ -
of the Town of .iVestlake, heretofore adopted on February 13,
19601 be, and the same is hereby amended so that the territory
annexed by the said Ordinance No. 20 be, and the same is here-
after described as follows to -wit,
Beginning at a point in the North lines of the J. Eads
Survey A-392, the Alvin M. Owsley 124.37 acre tract and
the present corporate li'llits of the Town of Westlake,
said point also being 600 feet pore or less East of the
Northwest corner of said corporate limits and the Alvin
Dpi. Owsley 124.37 acre tract and in the East line of a
county road;
Thence North with the East line of said county road,
running along the' Wiest line of the J. Henry Survey A-529,
2190 feet more or less to a poilit in the Southeast line
of the old State Highway No. 10;
Thence North 39039' East with said Southeast line of
highway Zi85 Feet more or less to a point in the South line
of a county road running -East and Wiest along the North
line of the J. Henry Survey A-529;
Thence East with said South line of county road 1340 feet
more or less to corner of county road to the North; thence
North with the East line of county road running along the
West side of the T. Kelly Survey A--704 1371 feet more or
Tess to a point in the Southeast line of the old State
Highway No. 10;
Thence with said Southeast line Highway and with a 1° "i.o
the left 225 feet more or less to a point;' thence continu-
ing on with said Southeast line of highway North 15°55'
East 1732.6 feet more or less, North 15045' East 1629.5
feet more or less to a point in the North line of the T.
Kelly Survey A-704 and the South lineof the S. Graham
Survey A-457, said point beim; 910 feet West of the North-
east corner of said Kel-ly Survey;
Thence North. 19°06' .Wiest 1.66.4 feet to a point in the
Southeast line of the old U. S. Highway No. 377; thence in
a northeasterly direction with said Southeast line of
Highway 202.7 feet to a point; thence following the South-
east line of old U. S. Highway No. 377 and a 01'50' curve
to the lef t 670.3 feet to a point;
Thence with said Southeast line of highway North 13°47'
West 4733.4 feet, North 8°04' East 301.5 feet, North 1347'
West 79.3 feet to a point of curve to the left; thence
vith said 1'.curve to the left and east right of way line
of highway 306.0 feet to a point,, said point being at
intersection with Wiest line -of Denton County Road No. 2;
Thence with West line of said' county road 50'59' ilest 135.6
feet to a point of curve -in -'road; thence with Line of said
road and along a 101 curve to the left whose radius is
618.63 feet to a point of tangent; thence East with South
line of said county road 1940 feet more or less to a point
South of the extended ;'lest line of tine A. B. Danks Survey
road;
Thence East with the centerline of said county road 3750
feet more or less to a point South of the extended East
line of the A. B. Danks .Survey;. '
Thence North 45 feet to a point in the North line of said

road 5690 feet more or less to a point of curve in road;
thence with line of said road and a 10° curve to the right
whose radius is 523.63 feet to a point of tangent; thence
with East line of County Road No. 2 North 0°59' -East 200
feet to a point;
Thence North 59°01' Wiest 140 feet.to the centerline of
Old U. S. Highi%,, ?�o. 377; thence southwesterly ly _vith the
centerline of said highway on. a 1° ctirve to the 'right
350 feet, to a point of tangent, continuing with the
centerline of said highway South 13047' Nest 5115.2 feet
to a point of curve in highway, continuing with a 0°50'
curve to the right to a point in. the North line of the
T, Kelly Suryey A-704;

Thence East with said North lane of the Kelly .Survey to
a point in the j;'est line of old State Highway No. 10;
thence with said West line of highway South 15045' East
1629.5 feet, South 15055' West 1732.6 to a point of
intersection with the j'''est line of a county road to the
South;
Thence South with the said. Wrest line of county road 2011
feet more or -less to a point'of intersection with the
North lane of a county road to the IVest; thence West with
the said North line of county road 1435 feet more or

Thence South and crossing said county road to an inter-
section with the northwest line of the old State Highway
No. 10; thence South 39039' Wiest with the said Northvir: st
line of highway 332 feet more or less to an intersection
with the Wiest line of a county road to the South; thence
South with said West line of county road 2340 feet more
or less to a point i.n the present corporate limits of the
Town of Westlake, Texas;
Thence East 60 feet more or less to the point of beginning
and covering a tract of land_ containing 39.65 acres or
0.1610 square miles.
SECTION 2. That the property hereinabove described'
and being adjacent and contiguous to the Town Limits of W4'estlake,
`Texas, be and it is hereby annexed and brought within the
corporate l.mi is of said Town and made an integral part the.(•eof
by virtue of the provisions of ordinance No. 20, heretofore
adopted on February 13, 1960.

the Town of flestlake, Texas, as heretofore adopted and amended,
-~ be and it is hereby amended so as to include the aforementioned
.territory as part of the Town of Westlake, Texas, as of February
I31 19600 and the map and boundaries of said Town of SYestlake
shall be corrected so as to conform to the above described terri-
tory and not as originally described in Ordinance No. 20, adopted
on February 13, 1960.
SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall becoineffective
and be in. full force and effect from and after its passage and
appro . by the Maypr and July attested by the Town Secretary,
and shall have the effect as amending Ordinance pro. 20 as of
February `13, 1960.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO.20, ADOPTED
FEBRUARY 13, 1960, RECEIVING AND ANNEXING TERRITORY ADJACENT
AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS, AND PROVIDING
FOR AMENDING AND CORRECTING THE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES OF SAID
TOWN AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED, AS AIS BEH AND PROVIDING THAT THE
EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE AS OF FEBRUARY 13,
1960, THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF ORDINANCE NO. 20.
WHEREAS, on February 13, 1960, the Board of Aldermen
of the Town of Westlake adopted ordinance No. 20 annexing to
said Town of Westlake certain territory described in said
ordinance; and,
WHEREAS, there was inadvertently included in said ordi-
nance a portion of a county road, which said portion of the
county road is now part of the Town of Flower Mound, Texas; an(j
WHEREAS, in order to correct the field notes of said
Ordinance No. 20 so as to not include the portion of said county
road now a part of the Town of Flower Mound, Texas, this ordi-
nance is adopted by the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake;
and,
WHEREAS, this ordinance is adopted for the purpose of

may have in the territory described in Ordinance No. 20, adopted
on February 13, 1960, and which is presently within the limits

1960, be, and the same is hereby amended so that the territory
annexed by the said Ordinance No. 20 be, and the same is here-
after described as follows, to -wit:
Beginning at a point in the North lines of the J. Eads
Survey A-392, the Alvin M. Owsley 124.37 acre tract and
the present corporate limits of the Town of Westlake,
said point also being 600 feet more or less East of the
Northwest corner of said corporate limits and the Alvin
M. Owsley 124.37 acre tract and in the East line of a
county road;
Thence North with the East line of said county road,
running along the West line of the J. Henry Survey A-529,
2190 feet more or less to a point in the Southeast line
of the old State Highway No. 10;
Thence North 39P391 East with said Southeast line of
highway 485 feet more or less to a point in the South line
of a county road running East and West along the North
line of the J. Henry Survey A-529;
Thence East with said South line of county road 1340 feet
more or less to corner of county road to the North; thence
North with the East line of county road running along the
West side of the T. Kelly Survey A-704 1871 feet more or
less to a point in the Southeast line of the old State
Highway No. 10;
Thence with said Southeast line Highway and with a 10 to
the left 225 feet more or less to a point; thence continu-
ing on with said Southeast line of highway North 15055'
East 1732.6 feet more or less, North 1545' East 1629.5
feet more or less to a point in the North line of the T.
Kelly Survey A-704 and the South line of the S. Graham
Survey A-457, said point being 910 feet West of the North-
east corner of said Kelly Survey;
Thence North 19006' West 166.4 feet to a point in the
Southeast line of the old U. S. Highway No. 377; thence in
a northeasterly direction with said Southeast line of
Highway 202.7 feet to a point; thence following the South-
east line of old U. S. Highway No. 377 and a 00501 curve
tM the left 670.3 feet to a point;
Thence with said Southeast line of highway North 130471
West 4738.4 feet, North 30041 East 301.5 feet, North 13047'
West 79.3 feet to a point of curve to the left; thence

intersection with West line of Denton County Road No. 2;

feet to a point of curve in road; thence with line of said
road and along a 100 curve to the left whose radius is
618.68 feet to a point of tangent; thence East with South
line of said county road 1940 feet more or less to a point
South of the extended 'Nest .1ine of the A. B. Danks Survey
A-363;
Thence North 45 feet to the centerline of a said county
road;
Thence East with the centerline of said county road 3750
feet more or less to a point South of the extended East
line of the A. B. Danks Survey;
Thence North 45 feet to a point in the North line of said
county road; thence West with North line of said county
road 5690 feet more or less to a point of curve in road;
thence with line of said road and a 10' curve to the right
whose radius is 528.63 feet to a point of tangent; thence
with East line of County Road No. 2 North 0'59' East 200
feet to a point;
Thence North 89001t West 140 feet to the centerline of
old U. So Highway No. 377; thence southwesterly with the
centerline of said highway on a I' curve to the right
350 feet to a point of tangent, continuing with the
centerline of said highway South 13047' West 5113.2 feet
to a point of curve in highway, continuing with a 0'50'
curve to the right to a, point in the North line of the

intersection with the West line of a county road to the

feet more or less to a point of intersection with the
North line of a county road to the West; thence West with
the said North line of county road 1435 feet more or
less to a point;
Thence South and crossing said county road to an inter-
section with the Northwest line of the old State Highway
No. 10; thence South 39039 West with the said Northwest
line of highway 332 feet more or less to an intersection
with the West line of a county road to the South; thence
South with said West line of county road 2340 feet more
or less to a point in the present corporate limits of the
Town of Westlake, Texas;
Thence East 60 feet more or less to the point of beginning
and covering a tract of land containing 39.65 acres or
0.1619 square miles.
and being adjacent and contiguous to the Town Limits of Westlake,
Texas, be and it is hereby annexed and brought within the
corporate limits of said Town and made an integral part thereof
by virtue of the provisions of Ordinance No. 20, heretofore
adopted on February 13, 1960.
SECTION 3. That the official map and boundaries o[I
the Town of Westlake, Texas, as heretofore adopted and amended,
be and it is hereby amended so as to include the aforementioned
territory as part of the Town of Westlake, Texas, as of February
13) 1960, and the map and boundaries of said Town of Westlake
shall be corrected so as to conform to the above described terri-
tory and not as originally described in Ordinance No. 20, adopted
on February 13, 1960.
SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall become effective
and be in full force and effect from and after its passage and
approval by the Mayor and duly attested by the Town Secretary,
and shall have the effect as amending Ordinance No. 20 as of
February 13, 1960.
ADOPTED this the day of 1971.
