AN ORDINANCE CANVASSING ELECTION RETURNS OF ELECTION HELD APRIL 7,
19791 TO ELECT THREE ALDERMEN.
THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I.
That the Town Council officially finds and determines that
an election was duly ordered to be held in the Town of Westlake,
Texas, on the 7th day of April, 1979, for the purpose of electing
Three (3) Aldermen for two year terms for.the Town of Westlake,
Texas; that proper notice of said election was duly given; that
proper election officers were duly appointed prior to said election;
that said election was duly held; that due returns of the result of
said election have been made and delivered; and that the Town
Council has duly canvassed said returns; all in accordance with law.
SECTION II.
That the Town Council officially finds and determines that
only resident qualified electors of said Town were allowed to vote
at said election, and the following votes were cast at said election
for each candidate and write-in, there being no other person receiv-
ing any votes at this election:
Aldermen: Alvin F. Oien, Jr. 14 votes
Jerry N. Moore 14 votes
Kelly Pace Bradley 14 votes
SECTION III.
That the Town Council officially finds, determines and declares
the results of said election to be that Alvin F. Oien, Jr., Jerry N.
Moore and Kelly Pace Bradley are elected as Aldermen for two (2)
year terms, and each received the proper number of votes to be elec-
ted; and that each of them are elected to said Council in accordance
with law.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 9th day of April, A. D. 1979.
