AN ORDINANCE CANVASSING ELECTION RETURNS OF ELECTION HELD APRIL
2, 1977, tO ELECT THREE ALTEP,11EN.
THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I.
That the Town Council officially finds and determines that an
election was duly ordered to be held in the Town of Westlake, Texas
on the 2nd day of April, 1977, for the purpose of electing three
Aldermen to said Council; that proper notice of said election was
duly given; that proper election officers were duly appointed prior
to said election; that said election was duly held; that due returns
of the result of said election have been made and delivered; and that
the Town Council has duly canvassed said returns; all in accordance
with law.
SECTION 'II.
That the Town Council officially finds and determines that
only resident qualified electors of said Town were allowed to vote
at said eleciton, and the following votes were cast at said election
for each ancdidate and write-in, there being no other person receiv-
ing any votes at this election:
B. H. Campbell- 16 votes for Alderman.
Owen R. Carpenter - 12 votes for Alderman
Arvel Tate Sr. - 16 votes for Alderman
Leo Fikes - 4 write-in votes for Alderman.
SECTION 'III.
That the Town Council officially finds, determines and declares
the results of said election to be that B. H. Campbell ,
Owen R. Carpenter , and Krvel Tate Sr.

and that each of them, is elected to said Council in accordance with
law.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the
day of April, A. D. 1977.
