AN ORDINANCE CANVASSING ELECTION RETURNS OF ELECTION HELD ON
MAY 6, 1989, TO ELECT THREE ALDERMEN AND TO VOTE ON A CITY
SALES AND USE TAX.
THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I.
That the Town Council officially finds and determines that
an election was duly ordered to be held in the Town of Westlake,
Texas on the 6th day of May, 1989, for the purpose of electing
three (3) aldermen for two year terms for the Town of Westlake,
Texas, and to vote on a city sales and use tax; that proper
notice of said election was duly given; that proper election
officers were duly appointed prior to said election; that said
election was duly held; that due returns of the result of said
election have been made and delivered; and that the Town Council
has duly canvassed said returns; all in accordance with law.
SECTION II.
That the Town Council officially finds and determines that
only resident qualified electors of said Town were allowed to
vote at said election and the following voteswerecast at
said election for each candidate and write-in, there being no
other person receiving any votes at this election; and follow-
ing votes cast for or against the city sales and use tax:

SECTION III.
That the Town Council officially finds, determines and declares
the results of saidelectionto, be that
and are elected as
Aldermen for two (2) year terms, and each rec ved the proper
number of votes to be elected; and that each of them are elected
to said Council in accordance with law; that theCitySales and
Use Tax was approved withvotes FOR and votes AGAINST,
in accordance with the law.
