AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS, CALLING AN
ELECTION ON THE 6TH DAY OF MAY, 1989, TO VOTE ON A CITY
SALES AND USE TAX; WORDING THE BALLOT; APPOINTING AN
ELECTION CLERK AND ALTERNATE ELECTION CLERK; DESIGNATING
A POLLING PLACE; ALLOWING FOR ABSENTEE VOTING; AND
DECLARING AN DFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE TOWN OF
WESTLAKE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I.
That an election shall be held in the Town of Westlake
between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 7:00 P.M. on the 6th day
of May, 1989, to vote on the adoption of a city sales and
use tax.
SECTION II.
That the election ballot shall be so worded so that
the voters of the Town of Westlake shall vote FOR or AGAINST
the following proposition:
"A one percent sales and use tax is
adopted within the city."
SECTION III.

SECTION IV.
-That the election shall be held at}
and such place is hereby designate as
the election site.
SECTION V.
That the voters of Westlake may vote absentee and
such absentee voting period shall begin on the twentieth
(20th) day preceding the election date and shall end on the
fourth (4th) day preceding the election date.
