AN ORDINANCE CANVASSING ELECTION RETURNS OF ELECTION HELD APRIL 7,
1984, TO ELECT ONE MAYOR, TWO ALDERMEN AND ONE TOWN MARSHAL.
THE COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I.
That the Town Council officially finds and determines that an
election was duly ordered to be held in the Town of Westlake,
Texas, on the 7th day of April, 1984, for the purpose of elect-
ing one Mayor, two Aldermen and one Town Marshal, to said Council;
that proper notice of said election was duly given; that proper
election officers were duly appointed prior to said election;
that said election was duly held; that due returns of the result
of said election have been made and delivered; and that the Town
Council has duly convassed said returns; all in accordance with
the law.
SECTION II.
That the Town Council officially finds and determines that
only resident qualified electors of said Town were allowed to
vote at said election, and the following votes were cast at said
election for each candidate and write-in, there being no other
person receiving any votes at this election:
FOR MAYOR:
Dale L. White
FOR ALDERMEN:
Sherry A. Dudley
Howard Dudley
FOR TOWN MARSHAL:
Bill Foster
SECTION III:
14 votes
14 votes
14 votes
2 write in votes.
That the Town Council officially finds, determines and declares
the results of said election to be that Howard Dudley and
Sherry Dudley , each have received the proper number of
votes to be iviected Aldermen and Dale L. White has received
the proper number of votes to be elected Mayor and that each of
them has received the proper number of votes to be elected to said
Council in accordance with the law.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the day of April, A.D. 1984.
