WHEREAS, on the 5th day of April, A. D. 1969, pursuant to the pro-
visions of Title 28, Revised Civil Statutes, the Election Code of the State
of Texas, and Resolution 25, heretofore adopted on the 15th day of February,
1969, after due notice as by law provided, the General. Election to elect a
Mayor, Five Aldermen and a Marshal for a term of one year was held within the
limits of the Town of Westlake, Texas; and
WHEREAS, on the 8th day of April, A. D., 1969, at a meeting of the
Board of Aldermen of said Town, the results of said Election were canvassed
by the Mayor in the presence of the Board of Aldermen and said canvass showed
the result thereof was as follows:

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE TOWN OF
WESTLAKE, TEXAS:
That, the canvass of the result of said Election be, and is hereby
approved, and that B. A. Zwald having received the highest number of votes for
the office of Mayor is hereby elected to said office and is to serve as such
officer for the term of one year from date hereof or until his successor is
duly elected and qualified.
That, H. S. Thrasher, S. B. Cathey, A. L. Odom, George H. Harmon,
Jr., and Dewey G. Burger, having received the highest number of votes for the
office of Aldermen and D. E. McSpadden having received the highest number of
votes for Marshal are hereby elected to said offices and are to serve as such
officers for the term of one year from, date hereof until their successors are
duly elected and qualified..
That, all such officers are hereby instructed to take the oath
of office as by law provided and file such oaths with the Town Secretary.
