WHEREAS, on the 5th day of April, A. D. 1960, pu.rsu.-
ant to the provisions of Title 28, Revised Civil Statutes, the
Election Code of the State of Texas., and Resolution No. 7, here-
tofore adopted on the 13th day.of February, 1960, after due
notice as by Law provided, the General Election to elect a Mayor,
Five Aldermen. and a Marshal for a term of one year was held
within the limits of the Town of Westlake, Texas; and

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF
THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE., TEXAS:
THAT, the canvass of the result of said Election be, and
is hereby approved, and that John A. McGuire having received the
highest number of votes for the office of Mayor is hereby elected
to said office and is to serve as such officer for the term of one
year from date hereof or until his successor is duly elected and
qualified.
THAT, H. S. Thrasher, H. T. Webster, Ben A. Zwald, John
A. McGuire, Jr. and A..L. Odom having received the highest -num-
ber of votes for the office of Aldermen and Wesley Harvey having
received the highest number of votes for Marshal are hereby elected
to said offices and are to serve as such officers for the term of
one year from date hereof or until their successors are duly
elected and qualified.
THAT, all such officers are hereby instructed to take
the oath of office as by law provided and file such oaths with
the Town.Secretary.
