WRITTEN CONSENT OF CITY OF WESTLAKE, DENTON AND TARRANT COUNTIES, TEXAS TO THE
EXTENSION OF LIMITS OF BARTONVILLE, INSOFAR AS IT OVERLAPS WITH THE EXTRATERRITORIAL
JURISDICTION ON WESTLAKE.
WHEREAS, the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the Town of Westlake, Denton
and Tarrant Counties, Texas, consists of all the contiguous unincorporated area,
not a part of said Town, within one --half (z) mile of the corporate limits of such
Town; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Bartonville is proposed to be extended; and
WHEREAS, part of the extension that is proposed overlaps with the extra-
territorial jurisdiction of Westlake; and
WHEREAS, written permission by the governing body of Westlake is required
where there is the aforesaid overlap, before the extension limits of the Town of
Bartonville can be extended as planned (as required by Vernons Ann. Civ. St.,
Art. 970a (8) (a);
THEREFORE consent is hereby given by the City Council of Westlake, Denton
and Tarrant Counties, Texas, for the extension of the Town of Bartonville insofar
as it overlaps with the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City of Westlake, Texas.
ENTERED AND APPROVED this 5 ___ day of I977 by a majority of the
City Council of the City of Westlake, Texas.
