HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 73-38 Duties of the City SecretaryRESOLUTION NO. 38 WHEREAS, the city secretary shall attend every meeting of the city council and keep accurate minutes of the -proceedings thereof, and engross and enroll all laws, resolutions and ordinances of the city council, keep the corporate seal, take charge of and preserve and keep in order all the books, records, papers, documents and files of said council, and WHEREAS, no member of the city council shall hold any other office under the city government. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the city council appoint a new secretary to the office. And, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all records, papers, documents, and files of the council be placed in the office of the secretary or the office of the mayor. ADOPTED this theayof August, 1973.
