WHEREAS, On February 5, 1973, Walter P. Roach, Assistant City
Attorney for the Town of Westlake, presented a financial statement to
the Town of Westlake, concerning 1972 financial operations, and
WHEREAS, the Town of Westlake has on deposit a 5% Certificate
of Deposit at the Mercantile National Bank in Dallas, Texas, in the
amount of $1,250.00, and
WHEREAS, the said 5% Certificate of Deposit shall mature on
January 16, 1973, and
WHEREAS, Southwest Savings Association has 5 3/4% Certificate
Accounts for purchase in the amount of $1,000.00 or more;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of Aldermen of
the Town of Westlake, Texas:
That, the Mayor of the Town of Westlake is hereby directed to
purchase a 5 3/4% Certificate Account from Southwest Savings Association
for the Town of Westlake, Texas, and to hold the said Certificate until
maturity or until further notice by the Alderment of the Town of Westlake.
ADOPTED this the 5th day of February, 1973.
