WHEREAS, on the 7th day of April, A. D. 1973, pursuant to
the provisions of Title 28, Revised Civil Statutes, the Election Code
of the State of Texas, and Resulution No. 36, heretofore adopted on
the 5th day of February, 1973, after due notice as by law provided,
the General Election to elect a Mayor, Five Aldermen and a Marshal
for a term of one year, was held within the limits of Town of West-
lake, Texas; and
WHEREAS, on the 9th day of April, A. D. 1973, at a meeting
of the Board of Aldermen of said Town, the results of said Election
were canvassed by the Mayor in the presence of the Board of Aldermen
and said canvass showed the result thereof was as follows:

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS:
That, the canvass of the results of said Election be, and is
hereby approved, and that Howard Dudley, having received the highest
number of votes for the office of Mayor is hereby elected to said office
and is to serve as such officer for the term of one year from date hereof
or until his successor is duly elected and qualified.
That, B. H. Campbell, Owen R. Carpenter, Alvin F. Oien, Jr.,
A. L. Odom and Dale L. White, having received the highest number of
votes for the offices of Aldermen, serve as such officers for the term
of one year from date hereof or until their successors are duly elected
and qualified.
That, Cecil W. Neckels, having received the highest number
of votes for the office of Marshal, serge as such officer for the term
of one year from date hereof or until his successor is duly elected
and qualified.
That, all such officers are hereby instructed to take
the oath of office as by law provided and file such oaths with the
Town Secretary.
