WHEREAS, the Town of Westlake has the authority to
design, construct, operate and maintain new and existing
waste treatment works and related facilities; to raise
revenues and assess appropriate charges to assure that each
participating party pays its proportionate share of
treatment costs; to accept or refuse for treatment any
wastes from any participating party; to accept and utilize
grants or other funds from any source for waste treatment
management purposes; and to carry out appropriate portions
of an area -wide waste treatment or water duality management
plan; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS:
That the Town of Westlake seeks designation as the
management agency for wastewater collection and treatment
within its corporate limits in Denton and Tarrant Counties
in accordance with the requirements of Section 24$ of the
Federal Water Pollution Control Act, as amended.
