WHEREAS, the Town of Westlake has adopted Ordinance No. 167
which establishes permitting and inspection fees for the Town; and
WHEREAS, the Town has contracted with Metroplex Engineering
Coporation to serve as City Engineers and to provide plan review and
construction inspection services to the Town; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the Town to establish and agree
to the compensation it will pay to Metroplex Engineering Corporation
for the services it provides to the Town; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE T019N OF WESTLAKE:
That the current contract for services between the Town of
Westlake and Metroplex Engineering Corporation is hereby amended to
provide for compensation to Metroplex pursuant to the fee arrangement
attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS AND FEE SURCHARGES
FOR ALL SURVEYING WORK:
1. For work site locations within 50 miles distance from the home office,
excluding offshore, the foregoing hourly rates (pages 1, 2 & 3) shall apply.
2. For work site locations between 50 and 100 miles distance from the home
office, excluding offshore, to the foregoing hourly rates (pages 1, 2 & 3) add
the following:
a. Round trip travel time at one half straight
time crew rates for round trip travel in excess
of 2 hours.
b. Round trip mileage charges at $0.35/mile for
round trip mileage in excess of 100 miles.
3. For work site locations over 100 miles distance from the home office,
excluding offshore, to the foregoing hourly rates (pages 1, 2 & 3) add the
following:
a. Each -way travel time at one half straight time
crew rates for one-way travel in excess of
1 hour.
b. Each way mileage charges at $0.35/mile for
one-way mileage in excess of 50 miles.
C. Room and board (meals) expenses of survey
crews and client authorized support personnel
at an all inclusive per diem rate of
$75/day/person.
4. For all offshore work site locations, to the foregoing hourly rates add the
following:
a. One hundred percent (100°/x) of applicable
crew & equipment rates, plus an
additional fifty percent (50%) for all offshore
hours (work & travel) over eight (S) hours per
day.
b. All offshore boat or other transportation
expenses at direct cost plus 15x/0 for cost of
purchasing and handling.
