A RESOLUTION GRANPING PERMISSION FOR THE RESIDENTS IN TROPHY CGiIB TO
INI'T'IATE INCORPORATION PROCEEDINGS FOR THE INCORPORATION OF TROPHY CIIJB
AS A TOWN.
WHEREAS, Section 8 of Article 970a, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes
(V.T.C.S.) requires that any proposed municipality which
is within the extraterritorial jurisdiction of an existing
municipal corporation must require the consent of that
municipality to incorporate; and
WHEREAS, the residents within an area known as "Trophy Club", which
is in the extraterritorial jurisdiction of Westlake, desire
to have an election to determine if they should became a
municipality which would be known as the "'Town of Trophy Club";
and
WHEREAS, the legal description of the proposed "Town of Trophy Club"
is contained on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated
herein; and
WHEREAS, Trophy Club is a planned community with dedicated sections,
rather high residential densities, urban setting with golf
course and country club; and
WHEREAS, Westlake is basically a rural caummity with homesteads
consisting of large tracts of land; and
WHEREAS, the style of living and interests of Westlake residents are
different than those of the residents of the proposed "Town
of Trophy Club"; and
WHEREAS, Westlake feels it is appropriate to give its consent to the
incorporation of the "Tam of Trophy Club"; NOK FORE,

That the Town of Westlake, Texas hereby gives its consent to
the incorporation of a municipal corporation to be known as
the "Town of Trophy Club" as is more fully described on
Exhibit "A" which is attached hereto and incorporated herein.
