RESOLUTION 97-45
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE,
TEXAS ESTABLISHING A CHECKING ACCOUNT AT A QUALIFIED STATE OR
NATIONAL BANK HAVING A BANKING FACILITY WITHIN 15 MILES OF THE
TOWN HALL, AUTHORIZING CERTAIN INDIVIDUALS TO MAKE SAID
TRANSACTIONS; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Town needs to establish a checking account so that it can conduct its
business;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS:
SECTION 1: That the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas hereby
authorize the establishment of a checking account in the Town's name with a qualified state or
national bank having a banking facility within 15 miles of the Town Hall. The following
conditions shall apply to that account:
a) Ginger Crosswy, Town Secretary; Fred Held Alderman; and Abe Bush, Alderman
are authorized to sign checks on said account;
b) If a check is more that One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) two signatures will be
required for the check to be valid; and
c) It will be a violation of this resolution subject to removal from office for any
individual to write multiple checks of $1,000.00 or less each in order to pay an
invoice or statement in an amount greater that $1,000.00.
.SECTION 3: That this resolution shall become effective from and after its date of
passage.
