AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE ADOPTING THE
OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE WHICH
REFLECTS THE FEMA FLOODPLAIN AS MOST RECENTLY APPROVED BY
THE FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY TO BECOME
EFFECTIVE ON AND AFTER THE DATE OF ITS PASSAGE AND
APPROVAL.
WHEREAS, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has
recently approved the new floodplains for the 100 year storm within
the corporate limits of the Town of Westlake; and
WHEREAS, the Town has previously adopted ordinances and
resolutions so that the residents of the Town can participate in
the FEMA Flood Insurance Program; and
WHEREAS, the Town Engineer has prepared an Official Zoning Map
of the Town reflecting the new FEMA floodplains within the
corporate limits of the Town; and
WHEREAS, the Town desires to adopt said map.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF
THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS:
That the Official Zoning Map of the Town of Westlake
reflecting the new FEMA floodplains within the Town's
corporate limits which is attached hereto as Exhibit "A"
and incorporated herein is hereby adopted and shall
become effective from and after the passage of this
Ordinance as provided by law.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 8th day of July, 1993.
