AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS, CONVERTING THE TOWN
FROM A TYPE B GENERAL LAW MUNICIPALITY TO A TYPE A GENERAL LAW
MUNICIPALITY; TO BECOME EFFECTIVE UPON ITS PASSAGE AND APPROVAL.
WHEREAS, the Town of Westlake was incorporated as a Type B
General Law municipality in 1956, and has conducted itself as such
since the time of its incorporation; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 6, Subchapter B of the Local Government Code
provides a procedure for the change of another municipal type to a
Type A General Law municipality; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Westlake meets the requirements of
Suction 6.011 of the Local Government Code to convert to a Type A
General Law municipality; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Westlake is desirous of converting to a
Type A General Law municipality;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE TOWN
OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the Town of Westlake does hereby convert to
a Type A General Law municipality in accordance with the
requirements of the Local Government Code of Texas, and shall
conduct itself in accordance with the laws regulating Type A
General Law municipalities from and after the effective date of
this ordinance.
SECTION 2. That this ordinance shall become effective upon
its passage and approval.
PASSED AND APPROVED on this 9th day of May, 1994.

We, the undersigned officials of the Town of Westlake, Texas (the "Town"),
hereby certify as follows:
1. This Certificate is executed and delivered with reference to the conversion of
the Town of Westlake, Texas, from a Type B General Law municipality to a Type A
General Law municipality.
2. On May 7, 1994, the Town passed and approved an Ordinance, Ordinance No.
216, converting the Town of Westlake from a Type B General Law municipality to a Type
A General Law municipality, a copy of such Ordinance being attached hereto as Exhibit
"A". The Ordinance has not been amended, annulled, rescinded or revoked, and it remains
in full force and effect on the date hereof
3. The Ordinance was passed on a vote of four (4) Aldermen in favor of the
Ordinance and none in opposition. Alderman Fred Held was absent from the meeting.
The vote was recorded as follows:

Jerry Moore
Carroll Huntress
None
4. There is no litigation pending or threatened against the Town or the Board of
Aldermen with respect to the passage of the Ordinance and the conversion to a Type A
General Law municipality.
