RESOLUTION NO. 98-3
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE TOWN OF
WESTLAKE APPOINTING AN ALTERNATE MUNICIPAL JUDGE FOR THE
TOWN; TO BECOME EFFECTIVE UPON ITS PASSAGE AND APPROVAL.
WHEREAS, Section 29.005 of the Texas Government Code provides that a
municipality shall appoint an alternate municipal judge whose term will run
concurrently with the Mayor's term of office; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Westlake has an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement
with the Town of Trophy Club whereby Trophy Club's Municipal Court will serve as
the Municipal Court for the Town of Westlake; and
WHEREAS, Walter Fitzpatrick is the alternate Municipal Judge for the Town of
Trophy Club and will be serving as the alternate Municipal Judge for the Town of
Westlake when the Westlake citations are handled by the Trophy Club Municipal
Court;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS THAT:
SECTION 1: Walter Fitzpatrick is hereby appointed as the alternate Municipal
Judge for the Town of Westlake, Texas.
SECTION 2: That this resolution shall become effective upon its passage and
approval.
