A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE TOWN OF
WESTLAKE, TEXAS APPOINTING ERIC RANSLEBEN AS AN ALTERNATE
MUNICIPAL COURT JUDGE OF THE TOWN; AND DECLARING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Texas Government Code provides that a General Law City may
provide for the appointment of one or more persons meeting the qualifications to sit for
the regular Municipal Court Judge if the regular Municipal Court Judge is temporarily
unable to act; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Westlake, Texas (the "Town") enacted Ordinance No.
325 which provides for the appointment of alternate Municipal Court Judges and
establishes the required qualifications for said appointments; and
WHEREAS, Eric Ransleben meets the requirements for alternate Municipal Court
Judges.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS:
SECTION 1: The Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas does
hereby appoint Eric Ransleben as an alternate Judge of the Westlake Municipal Court for
a two-year term, said term corresponding with the elected term of the Mayor of Westlake.
SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall become effective from and after the date
of its passage.
