RESOLUTION NO.21-45
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS,
AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO HIRE A DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR
FOR THE IMMEDIATE DATA MANAGEMENT NEEDS OF THE STUDENT
INFORMATION SYSTEM PROJECT AND AMENDING THE BUDGET TO
ALLOCATED FUNDING FOR THE POSITION.
WHEREAS, the Town Council finds that there are immediate data management needs for
the Student Information System project; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council finds that funding for the Database Administrator and
Student Information System project is necessary; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council finds that the passage of this Resolution is in the best
interest of the public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN
OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS:
SECTION 1: All matters stated in the Recitals above are found to be true and correct and
are incorporated herein by reference as if copied in their entirety.
SECTION 2: The Town Council of the Town of Westlake hereby approves an amendment
to the adopted budget for an additional $115,000 to allocate funding for the Database
Administrator position.
SECTION 3: The Town Council of the Town of Westlake hereby authorizes the Town
Managerto hire a Database Administrator for the immediate data management needs ofthe Student
Information System project.
SECTION 4: If any portion of this Resolution shall, for any reason, be declared invalid
by any court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the remaining provisions
hereof and the Council hereby determines that it would have adopted this Resolution without the
invalid provision.
SECTIONS: That this resolution shall become effective from and after its date of
passage.
