RESOLUTION NO.22-12
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO HIRE AN
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT FOR THE IMMEDIATE NEEDS OF THE TOWN
MANAGER'S OFFICE AND AMENDING THE ADOPTED BUDGET TO ALLOCATE
FUNDING FOR THE POSITION.
WHEREAS, the Town Council finds that there are administrative support needs for the
Town Manager's Office; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council finds that funding for the Administrative Assistant
position is necessary; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council finds that the passage of this Resolution is in the best
interest of the public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN
OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS:
SECTION 1: All matters stated in the Recitals above are found to be true and correct and
are incorporated herein by reference as if copied in their entirety.
SECTION 2: The Town Council of the Town of Westlake hereby approves an amendment
to the FY 21-22 adopted budget for an additional $75,000 to allocate funding for the
Administrative Assistant position.
SECTION 3: The Town Council of the Town of Westlake hereby authorizes the Town
Manager to hire an Administrative Assistant for the immediate administrative support needs of the
Town Manager's Office.
SECTION 4: If any portion of this Resolution shall, for any reason, be declared invalid
by any court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the remaining provisions
hereof and the Council hereby determines that it would have adopted this Resolution without the
invalid provision.
SECTION 5: That this resolution shall become effective from and after its date of
passage.
