RESOLUTION NO. 05-09
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE,
TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE MUNICIPAL COURT CLERK TO MAKE AN
ELECTRONIC RECORDING OF ALL BENCH TRIAL AND JURY TRIAL SETTINGS
ON BEHALF OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, Court cases should be recorded by the Municipal Court Clerk to provide
an accurate reproduction of the trial process.
WHEREAS, Recording technology currently exists in the Courtroom to provide such
WHEREAS, The recording of the proceedings would provide a cost benefit to the Town
of Westlake and its citizens.
WHEREAS, the Mayor and the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas,
as well as the Town Staff, are committed to providing a fair and impartial trial to persons
appearing before the Municipal Court.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS:
SECTION 1: THAT, the above findings are hereby found to be true and correct and are
incorporated herein in the entirety.
SECTION 2: THAT, the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas hereby
authorizes the recording of the bench and jury trial proceedings in the Municipal Court via
electronic media on behalf of the Town of Westlake, Texas.
PASSED AND APPROVED ON THIS 14th DAY OF MARCH 2005.
