AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS ANNEXING
APPROXIMATELY 4.43 ACRES OF THE G. B. HENDRICKS SURVEY,
ABSTRACT NO. 680, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, INTO THE TOWN LIMITS
OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS, PURSUANT TO SECTION 43.028 OF
THE TEXAS LOCAL GOVERNMENT CODE; CONFIRMING AND
RATIFYING THE PRIOR ANNEXATIONS OF THE PROPERTY UNDER
ORDINANCES 237, 253, AND 289; PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY
CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE

Survey, Abstract No. 680, Tarrant County, 'Texas, have petitioned the Town of Westlake to
annex the property as shown on attached Exhibit "A", (hereinafter the "Property"); and
WHEREAS, the Property was previously annexed into the Town under Ordinance Nos.
237, 253, and 289; and the property owners nor any of their predecessors have ever petitioned for
disannexation; and
WHEREAS, the property owners wish to confirm and ratify the annexation of the
Property under those ordinances, and, in the alternative, have their Property annexed by this
ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the Property is one-half mile or less in width; and
WHEREAS, the Property is contiguous to the current Town Limits of the TOWN OF
WESTLAKE, Texas; and
WHEREAS, the Property is vacant and without residence or on which fewer than three
qualified voters reside; and

petition and heard any and all arguments for or against the petition; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake granted the petition for
annexation; and
WHEREAS, all of the provisions of Section 43.028 of the Texas Local Government
Code have hereby been met.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF
THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That all of the above findings are true and correct and are incorporated
into the body of this Ordinance in their entirety.

SECTION 2. That the Property shown on attached Exhibit "A" is hereby annexed into
the Town Limits of the Town of Westlake, Texas, for full municipal purposes; and the
annexation of the Property under Ordinances Nos. 237, 253, and 289 is hereby confirmed and
ratified.
SECTION 3. That the terms and provisions of this Ordinance shall be deemed to be
severable and that if the validity of any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this
Ordinance should be declared invalid or unconstitutional by the valid judgment or decree of any
court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity
of any other section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this Ordinance.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall become effective from and after its date of passage.

BEING a tract of land out of the G.B. Hendricks Survey, Abstract No.68D, in Tarrant County, Texas,
and being part of the same tract of land recorded in Volume 2271, Page 36, Deed Records, Tarrant
County, Texas, and being described as follows:
COMMENCING at a point 475 varas West and 237.5 varas North of the Southeast corner of said
Survey, also being in the centerline of Pearson Lane;
THENCE North along said centerline 139.1 feet to the Place of Beginning of tract being described;
THENCE North along said centsrline 221.5 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE East passing an iron pin at a distance of 23.0 feet cortiruing a distance of 659.72 feet in all
TO an Iron pin for corner,
'HENCE South along fence line 360.25 feet to an iron pin for corner;
THENCE West along fence line 346.56 feet to an iron pin for corner;
THENCE North 139.1 feet to an iron pin for corner;
THENCE West passing an iron pin at a distance of 290.16 feet continuing a distance of 313.16 feet
in all to the PLACE OF BEGINNING and containing 4.43 acres cf land, more or less.
