AN ORDINANCE BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE,
TEXAS, CANVASSING RETURNS AND DECLARING RESULTS OF BOND
ELECTION: AND CONTAINING PROVISIONS NECESSARY AND INCIDENTAL
THERETO
WHEREAS, the Town Council duly authorized an election to be held within the Town of Westlake,
Texas (the "Town") on November 6, 2007 (the "Election"), for the purpose of submitting to the resident
qualified electors of the Town the propositions hereinafter set forth.-
WHEREAS,

WHEREAS, this Town Council has investigated all matters pertaining to said Election; and
WHEREAS, the Election officers who held said Election have duly made the return of the results
thereof and said returns have been duly delivered to this Town Council;
WHEREAS_ the Town Council finds and declares that the meeting at which this Ordinance is
considered is open to the public as required by law, and that the public notice of the time, place and purpose
of the meeting was given as required by Vernon's Ann. Texas Government Code, Section 551.041, as amended;
Now, Therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS:
Section 1. It is officially found and determined that said Election was duly ordered, that proper
notice thereof was duly given, that proper Election officers were duly appointed prior to said Election, that said
Election was duly and lawfully held, that due returns of the result of said Election have been made and
delivered, and that this Town Council has duly canvassed said returns, all in accordance with law and the
Ordinance calling said Election.
Section 2. It is officially found and determined that the following votes were cast at said Election
on the submitted propositions by the resident qualified electors of the Town who voted at said Election:
PROPOSITION
103 VOTES FOR
THE ISSUANCE OF $2,500,000 TAX BONDS FOR
CONSTRUCTING AND EQUIPPING A BUILDING AND
RELATED IMPROVEMENTS TO BE USED FOR A CIVIC
CENTER AND FOR SCIENCE CLASSROOMS AND
LABORATORIES FOR THE WESTLAKE ACADEMY
10B— VOTES AGAINST
Section 3. As a result of said Election, and in conformity with law, this Town Council is
authorized to issue the bonds on behalf of the Town in the manner and to the extent set forth in the proceedings
calling said Election, and as and to the extent authorized by said Election.
Section 4, Inaccordancewiththe provisions ofVT. C.A.,Government Code, Section 1201.028_
this Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its adoption by the Town Council.
