HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 21-05 Adopting the 21-22 Instructional Materials AllotmentWESTLAKE ACADEMY RESOLUTION 21-05 A RESOLUTION OF THE WESTLAIE ACAI.IEMY BOARD OF TRUSTEES ADOPTING THE 2021-2022 INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS ALLOTMENT. WHEREAS, Westlake Academy considers the Instructional Materials Allotment essential to the academic achievement of students; and, WHEREAS, Westlake Academy is required to certify annually to the State Board of Education and the commissioner that, for each subject in the required curriculum, students have access to instructional materials that cover all of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS); and, WHEREAS, Westlake Academy is required to present and request the Board of Trustees to certify the instructional materials used to support the TEKS; and, WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees finds that the passage of this Resolution is in the best interest of the citizens of Westlake as well as the students, their parents, and faculty of Westlake Academy. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF W:;S TLAKE ACADEMY: SECTION 1: That, all matters stated in the recitals hereinabove are found to be true and correct and are incorporated herein by reference as if copied in their entirety. SECTION 2: That, the Board of Trustees of Westlake Academy hereby approves the ?.0' -20%2 Instructional Materials Allotment. SECTION 3: If any portion of this resolution shall, for any reason, be declared invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the remaining provisions hereof and the Board of Trustees hereby determines that it would have adopted this Resolution without the invalid provision.
