ORDINANCE NO. 926-
AN ORDINANCE CANVASSING THE RETURNS AND DECLARING THE RESULTS
OF THE GENERAL ELECTION HELD ON MAY 1, 2021, FOR THE ELECTION OF A
THREE (3) COUNCIL MEMBERS TO TERMS EXPIRING MAY 2023.
WHEREAS, the Town Council called an ordered the General Election on January 4,
2021; and
WHEREAS, the General Election for the Town of Westlake as set forth by the Texas
Election Code, was held on May 1, 2021, for the purpose of electing three (3) Council Members
for two (2) year terms; and
WHEREAS, it is hereby found and determined that notice of the election was duly given
in the forni, manner and time required by law, and said election was in all respects legally held.

WHEREAS, such canvass shows the following results:

THEREFORE, BE "r." ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
WESTLAKE, TEXAS:
SECTION 1: RECITALS FOUND TRUE. All of the recitals contained in the
preamble of this ordinance are found to be true and are adopted as findings of fact and a part of
this Town Counr_.il's judgment.

SECTION 2: ELECTION CANVASSED AND DECLARED EFFECTIVE. It is
further found and determined that the results of the election are as canvassed and tabulated in the
Iir,,:amble hereof and in Exhibit "A" attached hereto. The Town Council further finds the
following:
GENERAL ELECTION
Chandrika Dasgupta has been elected as Town Council Member to a term expiring May 2023.
Carol Langdon has been elected as Town Council Member to a term expiring May 2023.
Anna White has been elected as Town Council Member to a term expiring May 2023.
SECTION 3: TOWN SECRETARY TO RECORD ELECTION RESULTS.
The Town Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to make the appropriate entries of
information appearing in the tabulation of precinct results shown in Exhibit "A" attached hereto
in the election register maintained by the Town in accordance with provisions of Section 6 ; .006
of the Election Code.
SECTION 4: TOWN STAFF TO TAKE NECESSARY ACTIONS TO GIVE
EFFECT. The Town Manager, Town Secretary, and Town Attorney are hereby authorized and
instructed to take all actions necessary to give effect to this ordinance and the election, as
prow tied by law.
SECTION 5: EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall be effective Ripon its
adoption. -
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 10"' DAY OF MAY 2021.
