Home My WebLink AboutRes 06-59 Authorizing a Contract with Utility Data Systems, Inc.TOWN OF WESTLAKE RESOLUTION NO. 06-59 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT WITH UTILITY DATA SYSTEMS INC., TO PROVIDE A COMPREHENSIVE COURT SOFTWARE PACKAGE FOR THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE MUNICIPAL COURT. WHEREAS, the Town of Westlake desires to process all Municipal Court manual and electronic citations, and online payments in a timely and convenient manner for all Court customers; and WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen and the Town staff are committed to efficiently processing all citations, warrants, payments and meeting the reporting requirements for the State; and WHEREAS, Utility Data Systems, Inc. will provide a comprehensive software program for the Town of Westlake, establishing these services as shown in the attached Exhibit "A"; and WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen finds that the passage of this Resolution is in the best interest of the public and deem it to be of the utmost importance to the Town of Westlake and its citizens; and WHEREAS, the purchase price and maintenance dues for this agreement shall be paid from the Municipal Court Technology Funds and are included in the FY 2006/2007 adopted budget. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS: SECTION 1. All matters stated in the Recitals above are found to be true and correct and are incorporated herein by reference as if copied in their entirety. SECTION 2. The Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas, hereby approves the contract with Utility Data Systems, Inc., attached as Exhibit "A", to provide a comprehensive court software program and further authorizes the Town Manager to execute said agreement on behalf of the Town of Westlake, Texas. Training class can be scheduled @ Utility Data Systems, Inc. for $600.00 per day (Two days recommended). NOTE 4. If purchased on-site training or training at UDS office, will replace the internet training. S. Internet connection and Microsoft NetMeeting Version 3.01 or higher required for installation, training, and support for ACRS software. NOTE 6. Payment is due upon installation of MCRS software and/or hardware. 7. Annual software support is as follows: $935.00 per year for single user, each additional user $185.00 per year. NOTE 8. Software Support includes Internet Support through NetMeeting and software updates to the MCRS program. 9. Windows 2000/XP operating system required for installation of MCRS software. NOTE 10.
