6. NEW BUSINESS
a) Spring Living History Presentation — The presentation will be Tuesday, March 5,
7:00 — 8:30 PM at the Westlake Academy Performance Hall. President Schultz
reported that everything was ready to go.
b) Historical Marker Dedication Day —The Dedication day will be held Saturday,
April 6, at 2 PM at the Westlake Academy gazebo near the circle drive, and we
will be dedicating the marker to be installed in honor of The Possum Trot School
at the corner of Dove Rd. and Pearson Ln. It will be held at the school since there
is no parking at this location and in celebration of Westlake Academy's 10 year
anniversary. President Schultz also presented, for the Board's review, the
historical presentation of the Westlake and the Cross Timbers marker, which will
be held in the fall.
c) Westlake Arbor Day Participation — President Schultz asked for volunteers to
man the WHPS table at Arbor Day on April 20 from 4:00 to 7:00. Member
Stoltenberg and Wanda Brewster agreed to do it.
d) Decoration Day Program — Decoration Day will be held on Monday, May 27, 6:00
— 7:30PM at the Westlake Academy Gym and Commons Area. President Schultz
excitedly announced our keynote speaker, Brian Fleming, wounded Purple Heart
recipient from the war in Afghanistan and noted speaker and author. He has
agreed to speak at Decoration Day for $250 when he normally charges $5000.
The Patriot Guard and the Liberty Bell have also been invited. It will be held at
WA this year only, as Mr. Fleming needs power for his power point presentation.
We hope to have Andy Sedino do the catering.
e) Board Member Recruitment — President Schultz announced that he will let his

and he promised to fulfill the duties until the activities for the rest of the year
