Res 08-55 Approving Sub Contractors Identified by Steele and Freeman
TOWN OF WESTLAKE RESOLUTION NO. 0855 APPROVING THE SUB CONTRACTORS IDENTIFIED BY STEELE & FREEMAN, INC., THE CONSTRUCTION MANAGER AT -RISK, FOR CONSTRUCTION OF PHASE I ARTS AND SCIENCES CENTER. WHEREAS, the Town of Westlake is working to become leaders in premier educational facilities and programs; and WHEREAS, Westlake desires to produce well educated future leaders and thinkers; and WHEREAS, Westlake desires to be business partners with Westlake Academy; and WHEREAS, the Board of Alderman finds that the Arts & Sciences Center benefits the public and is in the best interest of the public, citizens of Westlake, Westlake Academy students and their parents.; and WHEREAS, the Board of Alderman finds that the Arts & Sciences Center is necessary for the enhancement of the Civic Campus; and WHEREAS, the key sub contractors identified by Steel & Freeman, Inc. are as follow; Earthwork — Holbrook Concrete — DRM Masonry — Miracle Construction Site Utility Wright Construction Pavement Markings — Striping Plus Structural Steel — Crist Industries Sealants — George D Alan Roofing — Lon Smith Wood Doors/Hardware — Woodards — Res door Plaster — Anchor Drywall — Midwest Drywall Specialties — King Science Lab — ALC Roller Shades Kites HVAC/Plumbing — Berger Engineering As this project progresses over the next ten to twelve months S & F will provide the Town with an updated list of any additional sub contractor used to complete the project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS: SECTION 1. All matters stated in the Recitals above are found to be true and correct and are incorporated herein by reference as if copied in their entirety. SECTION 2. The Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake hereby approves the key sub contractors identified by Steele & Freeman, Inc., for the construction of the Arts & Sciences Center construction of Phase I at the Civic Campus. Exhibit `G' - GMP •_ Document A121TM We - 2003 Amendment No.1 AMENDMENT NO.1 TO AGREEMENT BETWEEN OWNER AND CONSTRUCTION MANAGER Pursuant to Section 2.2 of the Agreement, dated September 22, 2008 between Town of Westlake (Owner) and Steele & Freeman, Inc., General Corporation (the Construction Manager), for Town of Westlake Civic Campus Expansion Arts and Sciences Center (the Project), the Owner and Construction Manager establish a Guaranteed Maximum Price and Contract Time for the Work as set forth below. ARTICLE I GUARANTEED MAXIMUM PRICE The Construction Manager's Guaranteed Maximum Price for the Work, including the estimated Cost of the Work as defined in Article 6 and the Construction Manager's Fee as defined in Article 5, is Four Million One Hundred Fifteen Thousand Two Hundred Twenty One dollars ( $4,115,221.00 ). This Price is for the performance of the Work in accordance with the Contract Documents listed and attached to this Amendment and marked Exhibits A through G, as follows: Exhibit A Drawings, Specifications, addenda and General, Supplementary and other Conditions of the Contract on which the Guaranteed Maximum Price is based, pages 1 through 4, dated 09/22/2008 Exhibit B Allowance items, pages 1 through 1 , dated 09/22/2008 . ARTICLE II CONTRACT TIME The date of Substantial Completion established by this Amendment is: July 19, 2009 provided Notice to Proceed and Building Permit are issued by September 22, 2008.
