Consider a Resolution authorizing the Town Manager to enter into contract with Angell
Custom Welding for the construction of temporary apparatus bays for the Fire
Department.
Staff recommends approval.
This contract will allow the construction of temporary apparatus bays for the Fire
Department. This building will allow the Fire Department to house a fire engine, an
ambulance, and brush truck, as well as, provide a small storage and work area for Fire
Department equipment.
The contract is for the construction of a metal building, approximately 1,856 square feet,
on the site currently occupied by the Fire Department. Angell Custom Welding of
Terrell, Texas agrees to construct the building for $30,784.00 that meets budget forecast
for this project.
Due to unforeseen circumstances delaying this project and impending bad weather, the
urgency of this request cannot be over emphasized. This request is deemed an
emergency.
