MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF
THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
TEXAS STUDENT HOUSING CORPORATION — DENTON PROJECT
August 5, 2019

PRESENT: Board members Scott Bradley, James Krekow, Paula Petersen, Rich
Mueller, Mark Harrow, Katie Kolkmeier, and Executive Director Tracy
Harrow. Not in attendance: Board member Randy Quick.
1. CALL TO ORDER.
President Bradley called the meeting to order at 7:07 pm.
2. REVIEW AND CONSIDER APPROVAL OF MINUTES FOR THE MEETING HELD
MAY 21, 2019.
DISCUSSION: Director Mueller made a motion to approve the minutes of the
May 21, 2019 meeting. Director Petersen seconded the motion. The
motion passed unanimously.
3. RECEIVE UPDATE FROM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR HARROW ON SCHOLARSHIP
COUNT FOR THE RIDGE APARTMENTS.
DISCUSSION: Executive Director Harrow shared the latest number of scholarship
recipients for the 2019-2020 academic year at The Ridge Apartments.
Currently there are twenty-three scholarship recipients, with
scholarships valued at $64,260. No action taken.
4. DISCUSS AND CONSIDER APPROVAL OF FISCAL YEAR 2020 BUDGET FOR THE
RIDGE APARTMENTS.
DISCUSSION: Director Krekow made a motion to approve the budget as presented.
Director Harrow seconded the motion. The Board discussed the fiscal
year 2020 budget. The motion passed unanimously.

S. EXECUTIVE SESSION
The TSHA Board convened into executive session at 7:10pm to conduct a closed session
pursuant to Texas Government Code, Annotated, Chapter 551,
Subchapter D, Section 551.072 for the following: Consultation with
attorney whereby the Board seeks advice about deliberation regarding
real property: Offers for parcels 107 and 115 pertaining to the TXDOT
eminent domain project at The Ridge Apartments
6. RECONVENE MEETING.
President Bradley reconvened the meeting at 7:30pm.
7. TAKE ANY ACTION, IF NEEDED, FROM EXECUTIVE SESSION
DISCUSSION: No action taken.
8. ADJOURNMENT
President Bradley adjourned the meeting at 7:33 pm.
