RESOLUTION 11-12
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE,
TEXAS, APPROVING AN EXTENSION TO THE TIME LIMITS ALLOWED FOR THE
PLACEMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF TEMPORARY STRUCTURES ON THE
PROPERTY ADDRESSED AS 2600 J T OTTINGER ROAD, BEING LOT 1, BLOCK 1,
OF THE WESTLAKE MUNICIPAL COMPLEX ADDITION, TOWN OF WESTLAKE,
TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, the aforementioned property is properly zoned for the current uses and,
WHEREAS, additional class room space is needed to accommodate the anticipated
student loads for the next several years and,
WHEREAS, the funding for permanent facilities is not currently available nor
anticipated to be available in the near future and,
WHEREAS, the Town Council finds that the passage of this Resolution is in the best
interest of the citizens of Westlake.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN
OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS:
SECTION 1: That, all matters stated in the Recitals hereinabove are found to be true
and correct and are incorporated herein by reference as if copied in their entirety.
SECTION 2: That the Town of Westlake Town Council hereby approves an extension
to the time frame allowed for the placement and maintenance of temporary structures on the
property addressed 2600 J T Ottinger, being Lot 1, Block 1 of the Westlake Municipal Complex
Addition, Town of Westlake, Tarrant County, Texas. Said extension shall be until the Town
Council of the Town of Westlake determines that removal of the temporary structures is in the
best interest of the citizens of the Town of Westlake.
SECTION 3: if any portion of this Resolution shall, for any reason, be declared invalid
by any court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the remaining provisions
hereof and the Council hereby determines that it would have adopted this Resolution without the
invalid provision.

SECTION 4: That this resolution shall become effective from and after its date of
passage.
