A.3C Continue to develop methods of teaching and learning that promote constructivism and the development of critical thinking skills. (see also C3.2A action plan objective) A.7B: Recognize and celebrate mother-tongue languages found within the student body. A.8: Increase participation in the IB world community. Section B: Organization B1. Structure and Leadership B1.5A and B- Refer to the language, assessment, and special needs policies as working documents to further curriculum development. B2 Resources and Support B2.5 Continue to provide learning environments with specialized equipment and resources to support. B2.6 Continue to make funding for the library a priority, recognizing its importance within the PYP. B2 Resources and Support B2.8 Continue to investigate ways to support students with learning difficulties or special needs. In turn, this will provide needed support for the classroom teachers. B2.10 Investigate the possibility of creating a timetable that allows for a in-depth inquiry provided through large, designated times without interruption. Section C: Curriculum C1 Collaborative Planning C1.2 Regular and systematic collaborative planning must address the development of the PYP planner during the implementation of the unit of inquiry. Section C: Curriculum C2 Written Curriculum C2.4 Explore ways to ensure the curriculum clearly identifies the skills, concepts, knowledge, attitudes taught over time. Section C: Curriculum C3 Teaching and Learning C3.2A Continue to study and explore strategies that strengthen inquiry and critical-thinking skills. (see also A.3C action plan objective) C3.4 Promote academic honesty across grade levels. Section C: Curriculum C3 Teaching and Learning C3.11 Create essential agreements for technology to enhance its role in the PYP. C3.14B Empower students to take self-initiated action as a result of learning. Section C: Curriculum C4 Assessment C4.1A Teachers continually use assessments to plan and inform teaching. And C4.7 Teachers develop formative assessments to drive teaching and learning. Section C: Curriculum C4 Assessment C4.1B Continue to design and develop assessment strategies that address the PYP essential elements. C4.2 The school community understands the assessment procedures and philosophy. Comments and Questions
