Consider a Resolution approving an amended contract with C&C Engineering to conduct energy
efficiency inspections on residential construction.

Staff recommends approval.
Chapter 388 of the Health and Safety Code, enacted by the Seventy-seventh
Legislature, adopted "the energy efficiency chapter of the International Residential
Code, as it existed on May 1, 2001 ........ as the energy code in this state for single-
family residential construction." The Town must now inspect new residential
construction to ensure that it complies with these energy efficiency standards.
C & C Engineering has now complied with certification of personnel, review and
inspection per this Code.
If this Resolution is adopted, C&C will be assigned the task of conducting the
reviews and inspections for the Town and will bill their cost directly to the
developer, contractor or owner of the project.
