Regular Session 1. CALL TO ORDER Commissioner Lee called the regular session to order at 6:00 p.m. Commissioner Sanden, alternate is a voting member. 2. STANDING ITEM: PRESENTATION AND DISCUSSION OF DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS PER APRIL 2018 REPORT. No additional discussion. P&Z Minutes 05/14/18 Page 1 of 3 3. DISCUSSION AND CONSIDERATION OF THE MINUTES FROM THE MEETING HELD ON APRIL 16, 218. MOTION: Commissioner Goble made a motion to approve the minutes. Commissioner Sanden seconded the motion. The motion carried by a vote of 4-0. 4. CONTINUE THE PUBLIC HEARING THAT WAS TABLED ON APPRIL 16, 2018, AND CONSIDER A RECOMMENDATION FOR A REZONING REQUEST FROM RS- COUNTRY RESIDENTIAL TO PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT NUMBER 7 (PD7) FOR AN APPROXIMATELY 37.798 ACRES LOCATED EAST OF PEARSON LANE AND SOUTH OF ASPEN LANE, TO INCLUDE PRIMARILY SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL USES, INCLUDING A REQUEST FOR APPROVAL OF A CONCEPT PLAN AND DEVELOPMENT PLAN, AND A SPECIFIC USE PERMIT FOR PRIVATE STREETS. Director Ruthven provided a presentation and overview of the item. Pastore, Waterside Properties, provided a presentation. Discussion ensued regarding number of units, types of homes, water theme, density, access to golf course, compliance with the comp plan, price point, market comparison of price point, oversaturation of homes, and vinyl siding on fencing. Commissioner Lee continued the public hearing. The following people spoke in favor of the item: Bryant Fisher, 4050 Aspen Lane; Joe Schneider, Hillwood, 9800 Hillwood Parkway, Fort Worth, Texas 76177; David Elmer, 2017 Bantry Drive, Keller, Texas 76262; Dave Huff, 1864 Barrington Court, Keller, Texas 76262; Paul Marciano, 1805 St. Philip Avenue, Southlake, Texas 76092; and Kay Armstrong, 1613 Lismore Court, Keller, Texas 76262. The following people spoke in opposition of the item: Tracy Gajak, 8350 N. Central Expressway, Dallas, Texas 75248. Commissioner Lee closed the public hearing. MOTION: Commissioner Goble made a motion to deny the rezoning. Commissioner Garvin seconded the motion. The motion carried by a vote of 3-1. Commissioner Sanden opposed. MOTION: Commissioner Sanden made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner Garvin seconded the motion. The motion carried by a vote of 4-0.
