MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF
THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
TEXAS STUDENT HOUSING CORPORATION — DENTON PROJECT
April 19, 2018

PRESENT: Board members Scott Bradley, Paula Petersen, James Krekow, Katie
Kolkmeier, Randy Quick and Executive Director Tracy Harrow. Not in
attendance: Trish Howard and Mark Harrow
1. CALL TO ORDER.
President Bradley called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm.
2. RECEIVE UPDATE FROM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR HARROW ON SCHOLARSHIP
COUNT AND VALUE FOR THE RIDGE APARTMENTS
DISCUSSION: Executive Director Harrow shared that the current count of students
receiving scholarships at the Ridge Apartments is twenty-five for the
2018-2019 academic year, valued at $79,400.00. No action taken.
3. RECEIVE UPDATE FROM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR HARROW REGARDING THE
DAMAGE TO BUILDING 1 FLOOR COLLAPSE AND REPAIRS.
DISCUSSION: Executive Director Harrow stated that the dry wall has been installed in
all three apartments impacted by the the floor collapse and water
damage in Building 1. The project is expected to be completed in May.
No action taken.
4. RECEIVE UPDATE FROM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR HARROW ON THE EXTERIOR
PAINTING OF ALL UNITS.
DISCUSSION: Executive Director Harrow shared that the exterior painting of all
buildings has been completed. No action taken.
S. RECEIVE UPDATE FROM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR HARROW REGARDING THE ON-
SITE INSPECTION OF THE RIDGE APARTMENTS.

DISCUSSION: Executive Director Harrow updated the Board on her observations
during a recent on-site inspection of The Ridge. Executive Director
Harrow stated that the replacement of damaged fencing is near
completion. No action taken.
6. DISCUSS AND CONSIDER APPROVAL OF THE CABLE TELEVISION CONTRACT
FOR THE RIDGE.
DISCUSSION: Executive Director Harrow shared that The Ridge Apartments are
currently on a month to month contract with Charter Cable. An offer
from Charter has been made to sign a 5-year contract that includes a
lower rate and a one-time door fee of $14,400.00. Total savings with
the new contract will be $19,000 annually. Director Quick made a
motion to approve the 5-year contract with Charter for cable television
at The Ridge Apartments. Director Krekow seconded the motion. After
no further discussion, the motion passed unanimously.
7. ADJOURNMENT
President Bradley adjourned the meeting at 7:39 pm.
