Purpose:
The Town of Westlake takes great pride in our public safety
and security.

Public health & welfare is guarded
Concern:
With expanding growth and development, outdoor event
activity is increasing greater concern for public health and
welfare, which are not covered by building codes and specific
use permits. For example: Entrada’s Amphitheatre covered by
Ord. 776
Security, traffic control, & parking
Fire & EMS services
Proper Resource Deployment
History:
November 2016 –Initial proposal
Council requested further review by Attorneys, and
review Highland Park’s
Reviewed six (6) area cities including Highland Park
Recommendation:
Consideration of approval adopting special event
ordinance March 2018
