TOWN COUNCIL MEETING
January 8, 2018
PRESENT: Mayor Laura Wheat, Council Members: Michael Barrett, Alesa Belvedere, Carol
Langdon, and Wayne Stoltenberg.
ABSENT: Rick Rennhack

Regular Session
1. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Wheat called the regular session to order at 6:37 p.m.
2. DISCUSSION AND CONSIDERATION OF ORDINANCE 842, CALLING THE MAY 5,
2018, GENERAL ELECTION TO ELECT A MAYOR AND TWO COUNCIL MEMBERS
FOR TWO (2) YEAR TERMS. DISCUSI6N Y EL EXAMEN DE ORDENANZA 842, LLAMAR AL 05 DE
MAYO DE 2018, ELECCIONES GENERALES PARA ELEGIR A UN ALCALDE Y DOS MIEMBROS DEL CONSEIO
PARA PERIODOS DE DOS 2 ANOS. THAO LUAN VA XEM XET CUA PHAP LENH 842, KEU GOI CAC THANG 5,
NAM 2018, CU6C T6NG TUYEN ClY DE BAU THI TRl16NG VA HAI THAN VIEN HOI GONG CHO HAI (2) NAM.
Town Secretary Edwards provided an overview of the ordinance and clarified the revisions
to Denton County's election days and times.

-- MOTION: Council Member Stoltenberg made a motion to approve
Ordinance 842, Calling the May election. Council Member
Langdon seconded the motion. The motion carried by a vote
of 4-0.
3. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business before the Council, Mayor Wheat asked for a motion to
adjourn the meeting.
MOTION: Council Member Belvedere made a motion to adjourn the
meeting. Council Member Barrett seconded the motion. The
motion carried by a vote of 4-0.
Mayor Wheat adjourned the meeting at 6:39 p.m.
