WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake
determined that it was appropriate to conduct an election in
the Town of Westlake in regard to the adoption of a sales and
use tax for the Town; and
1989; WHEREAS, said election was held on Saturday, May 6,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF
THE TOWN OF
1. That the election was held on Saturday, May 6,
1989.
2. That the voters of Westlake voted "For" or
"Against" the following proposition:
"A one percent sales and use tax is
adopted within the city."
3. That there were twenty-four (24) votes FOR the
proposition and no (0) votes AGAINST the
proposition.
4. The proposition was approved by twenty-four
(24) votes.
5. That the results of the election were
canvassed by the Board of Aldermen on the 9th
day of May, 1989.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED, this 9th day of May, 1989.
