of student achievement in IB World Schools.

Recommendations for the 2016-2017 SY
1.Postponing the Grade 5, 8 and 10 administration of ISA.
2.Minimize the amount of external assessments and thereby
increase instructional time and resources.
3.Reflect and analyze data of the effects of one common
assessment and to determine if we administer the ISA
every second year and at which grade level
4.Determine the need for the ISA based on data from other
assessments such as ACT/SAT.
•Quantitatively measure Westlake Academy effectiveness in
the Language B program
•Provide information in relation to phasing for MYP students
•Look for opportunities for advancement or remediation of
students
•Align the written curriculum within the department
Historic Perspective for Administering the AAPPL in
Grades 5, 6,7,8 and 9
1)Continue to develop the written curriculum in the Language B
program
2)Test students in Grade 5 & 6 to assist with program phasing for the
MYP students
3)Change testing date to early February
