ORDINANCE NO. 802
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE APPOINTING THE
PRESIDING JUDGE AND THE ALTERNATE PRESIDING JUDGE FOR THE
MUNICIPAL COURT OF RECORD NO. 1 FOR A TWO (2) YEAR TERM IN THE
TOWN OF WESTLAKE; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING
A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Town of Westlake Board of Alderman established the Municipal
Court of Record No. 1 and must provide for the appointment of a Presiding Judge and an
Alternate Judge; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance 401 also sets forth certain duties and qualification for each of
the Appointees; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Westlake, Texas, is of the opinion that
it is in the best interests of the town and its citizens that the amendments should be approved
and adopted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS:
SECTION 1: That the Town Council hereby appoints the following individuals to the
Municipal Court of Record No. 1 in the capacity set forth below:
Presiding Judge Brad Bradley
Alternate Judge Eric G. Ransleben
These appointments are made subject to and are governed by the provisions of
Ordinance No. 401, and in accordance with State law
SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall be cumulative of all other Ordinances and
shall not repeal any of the provisions of such Ordinances except for those instances where
there are direct conflicts with the provisions of this Ordinance. Ordinances or parts thereof in
force at the time this Ordinance shall take effect and that are inconsistent with this Ordinance
are hereby repealed to the extent that they are inconsistent with this Ordinance.
SECTION 3: If any section, article, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or word in
the Ordinance, or application thereof to any person or circumstance, is held in valid or
unconstitutional by a Court of competent jurisdiction, such holding shall not affect the
validity of the remaining portions of the Ordinance, and the Town Council hereby declares it

would have passed such remaining portion of the Ordinance despite such invalidity, which
remaining portions shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION4: All other Ordinances in effect and not in conflict with this Ordinance
shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTIONS: The Town Secretary of the Town of Westlake is hereby directed to
engross and enroll this Ordinance by copying the exact Caption and Effective Date clause in
the minutes of the Town Council of the Town of Westlake and by filing this Ordinance in the
Ordinance records of the Town.
SECTION 6: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage
as the law in such case provides.
