Consider a Resolution amending the Master Plan of the Town of Westlake Civic Campus.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Staff recommends approval.
BACKGROUND
With the continued growth of the Town of Westlake civic campus and the Westlake
Academy, the plan for a new Westlake Performing Arts and Science building will be
needed in 2008. In order for the desired placement of the Westlake Performing Arts and
Science building into the master plan of the civic campus, the Westlake Board of
Aldermen requested Michael Bennett of Gideon Toal to present a new master plan
concept,placed on the current 23 acres.
The proposed master plan alternatives are being reviewed and discussed by the Board of
Aldermen in a work session on March 26, 2007. The attached exhibits illustrate the
Board's desire for a civic campus master plan. The desired master plan will be presented
to the Board during the Board of Aldermen meeting for approval.
